We began the tough conversations in 2021—challenging the status quo and exploring why DE&I is such a crucial topic for nonprofits to address. It was a learning experience for all of us—the DRG team included. We hope you took our discussions from Part 1 and began having the difficult conversations within your organization. Now, it's time to turn those conversations into action.

Join Lynne and Matthew as they dive into how to move from conversation to action and begin taking steps towards meaningful change at your organization. Learn strategies for attracting and retaining diverse talent, readjusting the scholarship impact experience, managing donors who don't support DEI efforts, and your role—as a donor relations professional—in incorporating inclusivity into all that you do.

These sessions can be purchased individually, or save $40 when you purchase the entire series.

Disclaimer: We are not certified DEI trainers, but we are fundraising and donor relations experts with a passion, education, and background in this work. Simply put, this work is deeply important to the DRG Group and we feel a responsibility to lead the charge for change in our industry. We are not perfect. We continue to learn and strive every day to be our better best—and we hope to inspire you to do the same.

In part one of this webinar series, we discussed the painful power dynamics between scholarship recipients and their donors. You can find that conversation here. Now that we’ve agreed upon the need to update our practices, what steps and actions are best? How do we level-set expectations and implement new measures and language for the future? Communicating the problem to peers, leadership, and across campus to build a shared understanding is essential. Even though we aren’t responsible for creating the conundrum, it is our responsibility to address the fundamental issues and work toward solutions in partnership with key stakeholders. Join us as we move from the conversation to conversion of processes to ensure healthy experiences for all.

As organizations evolve, can we balance our need for funding with our core values?
