Jenny Jones offers over 20+ years of experience planning and implementing programs, events, and activities. She is skilled in building excellent rapport with alumni, donors, university personnel,
and team members. She can analyze situations for problematic issues and create new structures that streamline operations and improve efficiency.


She has comprehensive knowledge of designing, documenting, and managing the implementation of systematic and integrated philanthropic programs and events, developing individuals into high-functioning teams, and building/sustaining relationships with constituents. Furthermore, she has demonstrated expertise in supporting philanthropic efforts at top-notch fundraising programs at the University of Kentucky, Duke Medicine Development and Alumni Affairs, and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Jenny has substantial experience in assisting clients to improve overall performance by effectively aligning solutions with each institution’s unique strategic direction. She is an expert in facilitating tactical workshops to support the use of technology to transform and modernize institutional fund-raising processes, engage alumni, and use best practices to meet institutional goals and objectives.

 

Jenny has in-depth knowledge from her work with institutional executives, top donors, and key influencers on building strategies to meet goals for constructing a prospect pipeline, fundraising, alumni engagement, and donor management/retention, as well as ways to effectively manage boards of visitors/directors, and planning/implementing complex multi-level events.


She has conducted CRM Readiness In-Depth discoveries, Change Leadership workshops, and Advancement Assessments at a variety of institutions, including the University of South Florida, Memphis
University, Macalester College, Purdue University, Morehead State University, Swarthmore College, Lee University, Pearl River Community College and Delta State University.

 

An active volunteer, Jenny presents on a variety of topics at conferences such as the UNC System Advancement Symposium, the Association of Advancement Services Professionals (AASP) Summit, the Academic Event Professionals Conference, and varying conferences hosted by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). She is a founding member of the Academic Event
Professionals Advisory Board, served as secretary for the Association of Donor Relations Professionals national board, and is a former member of the CASE District III Opportunity and Inclusion Task Force.


Jenny received her BA and MA from Appalachian State University and her Ph.D. in higher education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is the current president of the Appalachian State Alumni Council, a member of the Association of Advancement Services Professionals and Council for Advancement and Support for Education, and a former board member of the Association of Donor Relations Professionals.
